Heidrun Hochgesand is a Conservator at Leibniz Centre for Archaeology (LEIZA) and Lecturer at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Her career spans over four decades in precious metals conservation, beginning with a goldsmith apprenticeship (1980-1984) and professional goldsmith work before specializing in archaeological conservation.
