Heidi Livingston Eisips is a Senior Lecturer and Adjunct Faculty in the Information Science and Data Analytics (ISDA) department at San José State University's College of Information, Data & Society. She also teaches in the Lucas College of Business and the ENGR 100W Writing Program. Her roles include faculty advisor for the Sbona Honors Program in Marketing & Business Analytics, GOAL, and Spartan Analytics clubs. She holds an MBA from Yale University and is completing an EdD in Educational Leadership at SJSU.
Her research focuses on data ethics, algorithmic bias, student voice, and the intersection of technology in education. She has led industry partnerships with organizations like NVIDIA and Verily through the Honors Program. Awards include the 2023 J. Giglierano Award for service.
Teaching specialties include statistics, business analytics, marketing, and STEM communication. She advises on university-wide initiatives like the Honors Task Force and Written Communication Task Force, and contributes to pedagogical strategies blending online/in-person learning.
Her doctoral work explores technology's impact on student voice and is part of Santa Clara University's Unconscious Bias Working Group.
