Heidi Lehmuskumpu

Heidi Lehmuskumpu serves as Guest Faculty for Fundraising and Sponsorship at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT), within its School of Musicology, Music Pedagogy and Cultural Management. With over two decades of expertise in fundraising, communications, and stakeholder relations, she bridges academic practice with real-world strategies in cultural management.

Her research focuses on strategic fundraising in arts and science, particularly co-creating societal value through international opera and ballet organizations. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of the Arts Helsinki, Sibelius Academy, with a dissertation titled Co-Creating Societal Value – the Core of Strategic Fundraising in the 21st Century.

Notable achievements include pioneering fundraising cultures at the Finnish National Opera and Ballet (2016–2020) and the University of Helsinki’s Faculty of Medicine (2013–2020). She has conducted workshops and lectures on fundraising, while also contributing to corporate communications and journalism as a writer.
