Heidi Bojsen is an Associate Professor Emerita at Roskilde University's Department of Communication and Humanities. Her work focuses on intercultural communication, multilingual education, and media security in West Africa. She holds a Master of Arts and PhD in relevant disciplines.
Research interests include multilingualism in education, media's role in security crises, West African migration patterns, literary theory, and the intersection of religion and modernity. Key projects include leading the MSCY project on Media, Security Crises, and Youth in West Africa (2021-2024) and the CLIL Pathfinders initiative for multilingual education (2020-2023).
Recent publications explore CLIL methodologies, media gatekeeping in insecure contexts, and translanguaging practices in higher education. She has contributed to 60+ publications and actively engages in academic networks across Africa and Europe.
