Heide Glaesmer

Heide Glaesmer is a Professor and Deputy Chair of the Department of Medical Psychology and Medical Sociology at the University Medical Center Leipzig. She serves as Head of the working groups on Psychotraumatology and Migration Research, and Suicidality Research. Her career includes roles as a Principal Investigator in the DETECT-project and a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Leipzig. She holds a PhD from TU Berlin and a postdoctoral qualification (habilitation) from the University of Leipzig.

Professional highlights include editorial roles at International Journal of Public Health and BMC Psychiatry, and leadership in conferences like the 2019 DGMP/DGMS joint annual conference. Awards include the Hans-Heimann Tandem Award and the Günter-Jantschek-Award.
