Heechang Shin, Ph.D., is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Business Analytics & Information Systems at the LaPenta School of Business, Iona University. Dr. Shin's research interests include network data security, privacy in mobile environments, and the application of big data analytics for business innovation. He explores vulnerabilities in modern information systems and develops solutions that balance security with user needs. His work bridges technical rigor and practical business impact, particularly in secure data management and analytics.
He has served as guest editor for special issues in international academic journals on topics such as big data analytics, business intelligence, and security management. Additionally, he is a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Telecommunications System & Management, contributing to the scholarly discourse in telecommunications and information systems.
