Hector Basoalto is a Professor of Metallurgy and Multiscale Materials Modeling at the University of Sheffield's School of Chemical, Materials and Biological Engineering. He leads the M2i2 research group and serves as Beacon Director of the Materials Made Smarter Centre (MMSC), focusing on bridging academic research with industrial applications through partnerships with companies like Rolls-Royce, GKN, and Airbus.
