Heather Webb is a Professor of Italian Studies at Yale University, specializing in medieval literature and culture. She holds a PhD from Stanford University (2004) and previously taught at The Ohio State University and the University of Cambridge, where she served as Head of Italian and a Fellow of Selwyn College. Her research focuses on Dante, medieval symbolism, and ethics in literature. Recent works include Dante, Artist of Gesture (2022) and Affective Communities in Premodern Italy (in progress).
