Heather Scott Peterson is a Professor of Interior Design in the School of Architecture at Woodbury University. She holds a BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design (1998), a writing concentration from Brown University (1995-1998), and an MArch from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (2005). Her work explores materiality, environmental impact, and cultural intersections through art and design.

Research & Creative Work: Her practice integrates art, architecture, and environmental inquiry, focusing on material transformation and human ecological relationships. Recent exhibitions include solo shows at Not There Gallery (2023), Fünf Design Collective (2019), and collaborative projects across France, Sweden, and Texas.

Advising & Leadership: Director of Not There Gallery (since 2023). Taught at Rhode Island School of Design, Boston Architectural Center, and Cal State Long Beach. Active in exhibition curation and interdisciplinary projects.
Labs/Teams: Engaged with Woodbury University’s architecture programs and international collaborations, including Domaine de Boisbuchet (France) and Fünf Design Collective (Sweden).
