Heather Moll is the Co-Coordinator of the Arizona Geographic Alliance, affiliated with Arizona State University's School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning. She holds a Ph.D. in Geography Education (2024) and has extensive experience in secondary education, including 13 years as a science teacher at Saguaro High School, teaching Earth and Space Science, Chemistry, and other sciences. Her academic journey includes a B.A.E. in Secondary Education (2004) and an M.A.S. in Geography Education (2009), both from ASU. She currently teaches courses such as GPH 597 Geography Capstone and GPH 211 Landform Processes.
Her research focuses on Geography Education, Secondary Education, and Science Education, emphasizing teacher training, curriculum development, and promoting geographic literacy. She leads initiatives like summer workshops to address out-of-field geography teaching in Arizona.
Her recent publications explore challenges in geography education, urban crime spatial analysis, and fieldwork methodologies. She actively contributes to educational advocacy through the Arizona Geographic Alliance, aiming to strengthen geography education across schools.
