Heather Lally

Dr. Heather Lally is a Senior Lecturer in Freshwater Ecology and Biology at Atlantic Technological University, with over 10 years of teaching and research experience. She serves as a Principal Investigator at the Marine and Freshwater Research Centre (MFRC), focusing on ecological restoration techniques for water quality improvement using biological indicators.

Her research integrates phytoplankton, zooplankton, and invertebrate monitoring to assess aquatic ecosystem health. She employs innovative teaching methods including problem-based learning and digital tools, recognized by the ATU Presidential Teaching Award.
