Heather LI is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting at Bentley University. She holds a MAcc and BMath from the University of Waterloo, and a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. Her teaching and research focus on financial accounting, textual data analysis, and auditing.

Her research explores themes in financial disclosure, corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting, and earnings management, with a strong emphasis on textual analysis of financial statements and stakeholder engagement. She has published extensively on topics such as investor culture, analyst attention bias, and ethical gray areas in financial reporting.
Recent publications include studies on analyst limited attention, CSR disclosure quality, and the impact of investor culture on corporate reporting. Heather also serves on multiple departmental and university committees, including the Honors Program Faculty Council and the PWC Case Competition advisory board.
