Heather G. Beeson, DMFT, is an Assistant Professor and Associate Chair in the Counseling and Family Science department at Loma Linda University's School of Behavioral Health. She holds a Doctor of Marital and Family Therapy (2019) from Loma Linda University, a Master of Arts (2017) from Chapman University, and a Bachelor of Arts (2014) from Cal State U San Marcos. Her work focuses on clinical leadership, program evaluation, marriage and family therapy, and addressing secondary trauma exposure in mental health professionals.

She leads research initiatives examining adverse effects of secondary trauma in therapists, de-stigmatization of mental health in Coptic Orthodox communities, and housing assistance programs in collaboration with the Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino. Current projects include the Non-Profit Organization Evaluating HACSB Programs and Services (2024–2029) as PD/PI, and she has completed longitudinal studies on housing programs like the Golden and Desert Haven initiative.
