He Wei

He Wei is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at California State University, Fresno. He holds a Ph.D. from MIT's Department of Chemistry and has extensive postdoctoral experience at MIT’s Department of Biological Engineering. His research focuses on nanomaterials, analytical chemistry, and their biomedical applications, with a particular interest in MRI contrast agents, neurochemical signaling, and spectroscopic techniques.

Education: Ph.D. in Chemistry (MIT, 2014), followed by postdoctoral roles at MIT (2017–2023). His academic journey includes positions as Research Associate, Senior Postdoctoral Associate, and Postdoctoral Associate under advisors Dr. Alan P. Jasanoff and Dr. Moungi G. Bawendi (2023 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry).

Research Interests: The Nano Analytics Lab under Dr. He Wei develops magnetic and fluorescent nanomaterials for bioimaging, sensing, environmental remediation, and industrial diagnostics. Key areas include nanostructures, neurochemistry, Monte Carlo simulations, X-ray absorption spectroscopy, and MRI advancements.
