Dr. He Jin is an Instructor at the School of Geosciences, University of South Florida, with expertise in Geographic Information Science and urban health studies. She holds a Ph.D. from Texas State University and teaches courses including Introduction to GIS, Medical Geography, and Health GIS seminar.
Her research integrates GIScience with epidemiology, environmental justice, and big data analytics. Key themes include obesity-environment relationships, food desert/swamp issues, and urban poverty characterization using spatial big data from platforms like Tencent and Meituan.
Recent publications focus on metabolic engineering, biochemical pathways, and enzymatic processes, demonstrating interdisciplinary approaches to biological systems optimization.
