Hayley Wilson is a Senior Lecturer in Practice & Employability within the Faculty of Allied Health, Social Work & Wellbeing at Edge Hill University (joined in 2022). She holds a PhD in Childhood Memories of Post-War Merseyside (2017) and has extensive practice-based experience across healthcare, SEN education, family therapy, and youth work. Her research focuses on mental health and wellbeing of children/young people, employing qualitative methods like narrative and heuristic approaches.
Teaching responsibilities include modules on child mental health (HUG2318), personal career development (HUG3101), and child development (HUG1126). Professional roles include External Examiner positions at the University of East Anglia and Teesside University since 2021.
Research interests center on creative interventions, life review techniques, and storytelling in wellbeing contexts. She collaborates with the Children and Young People Research Network and contributed to the 'Superbrains' project (2022-2024).
