Hayley Gorton is a Senior Lecturer at Aston University, affiliated with the College of Health and Life Sciences and the Pharmaceutical & Clinical Pharmacy Research Group. She focuses on improving mental health interventions through community pharmacy networks, particularly addressing suicide prevention and domestic abuse. She is currently accepting PhD students.
Research Interests: Her work explores pharmacy teams' preparedness for mental health crises, public acceptability of pharmacy-based services, and pharmacological correlates of suicide. She employs mixed-methods approaches, including cross-sectional studies, thematic analysis, and service co-design initiatives.
Recent Work Trends: Recent studies highlight innovative pharmacy-based response systems, pharmacological suicide risk factors, and e-learning tools to enhance pharmacy team capabilities. These projects emphasize collaboration between healthcare providers and community stakeholders.
