Haydn Thomason is a Lecturer at Loughborough University, currently serving as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant in Physiology. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science from Robert Gordon University (2020) and an MSc in Musculoskeletal Sport Science and Health from Loughborough University (2021). His roles include supporting undergraduate laboratory teaching across various modules and contributing to research groups in Sport performance and Lifestyle for health and wellbeing.
Haydn’s research interests align with his professional experience in elite sport, including strength and conditioning, performance analysis, and musculoskeletal health. He has coached Loughborough’s weightlifting team and competed in the Elite Squad, reflecting his practical engagement with athletic performance.
He received the Academic Award for his BSc Programme (First Class Honours) in 2020. His career includes roles as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for University Rowing Aberdeen and a Performance Analysis Intern with Aberdeen FC, underscoring his applied expertise in sport science.
