Dr. Hassan Saeed Khan is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Built Environment, University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia. He holds a Ph.D. in Urban Climatology and Energy Engineering from UNSW (2018–2022), an MSc in Architectural Engineering from Politecnico di Milano (2010–2012), and a BSc in Building and Architectural Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan (2003–2008). His professional experience spans over ten years across Australia, Saudi Arabia, Italy, and Pakistan, including roles as a Lecturer at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia, and an Architectural Engineer in various projects.
His research focuses on zero-energy buildings, energy-efficient measures (EEMs), renewable energy technologies (RETs), urban overheating, and climate-responsive design. Key projects include studies on urban heat mitigation in Sydney and Dubai, green infrastructure impacts, and thermal performance evaluation. He has received prestigious awards such as the Data 61-CSIRO Ph.D. Top-up scholarship and the UniverLecco Gold Merit Scholarship.
