Hassan Saad Ifti is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University, affiliated with the College of Engineering. His research focuses on hypersonics, transpiration cooling, and boundary-layer dynamics. He holds a D.Phil. from the University of Oxford (2022), an M.Sc. (2016), and a B.Sc. (2014) in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Stuttgart.
Research interests include analytical and numerical modeling of transpiration cooling systems, shock-boundary layer interactions, and porous media flow phenomena. His work addresses thermal protection challenges in hypersonic flight through experimental and computational methods.
Key publications (2022-2023) investigate transpiration cooling mechanisms in hypersonic boundary layers, combining experimental validation with numerical simulations. He has contributed to understanding coolant distribution dynamics and material behavior under extreme conditions.
