Hassan A. Salamy serves as Associate Professor and Chair of the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department within the School of Engineering at the University of St. Thomas, Saint Paul, MN, while also directing the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program. Previously, he held an Electrical Engineering faculty position at Texas State University before joining St. Thomas.
His academic credentials include:
- PhD in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University
- MS in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University
- BE in Computer Engineering from Lebanese American University
Dr. Salamy's research spans critical domains including Embedded Systems, High Performance Computing, and Internet of Things (IoT), with significant contributions to Robotics, Computer Architecture, and Engineering Education. His work bridges theoretical foundations with practical implementations in microprocessor systems and computational frameworks, directly informing his advanced coursework in microarchitecture and embedded design. Current teaching responsibilities include Microprocessor Architectures (ENGR 330) and Designing with Microprocessors (ENGR 331) with laboratory components.
