معرفی
Hasan Nuri Türkmenoğlu is an Assistant Professor at Istanbul Technical University's Faculty of Civil Engineering, working in the Construction Materials Laboratory. His expertise focuses on construction materials science, particularly in concrete technology and structural engineering. He holds a PhD in Structural Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (2015), preceded by a Master's (2012) and a Bachelor's degree (2008) in Civil Engineering from the same institution.
His research emphasizes the mechanical, elastic, and inelastic properties of concrete mixtures modified with additives like nano-silica, micro-silica, and fly ash. Key topics include bond properties between steel rebars and concrete, aggregate effects on mechanical behavior, and plastic shrinkage cracking prevention using polypropylene fibers. He has explored synergistic effects of silica additives on high-strength concrete and the rheological properties of modified mixtures.
Professional experience includes roles as a Doctorate Lecturer (2023–present), Research Assistant (2015–2022), and structural design engineer at YBT Structural Design Services Inc. (2012–2014). His lab work focuses on enhancing material performance through additive integration and optimizing composite systems for structural applications.
Research outputs span over a decade, with recent works analyzing nano-silica's impact on concrete properties and aggregate distribution effects on reinforcement bonding. His studies bridge fundamental material science with practical civil engineering applications, aiming to improve durability and mechanical efficiency in construction materials.
