Harveen Mann

Harveen Mann is a Professor in the Department of English at Loyola University Chicago. She holds a BA and MA from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India (1977 & 1979), and a PhD from Purdue University (1986). Her research focuses on postcolonial South Asian literature, gender studies, and cultural representations. Notable works analyze diasporic narratives, partition trauma, and intersections of nationalism and identity. She has published widely in journals like Sikh Formations, Quarterly Review of Film and Video, and ARIEL. Current projects include In Pursuit of Equality: Feminism and Nationalism in South Asian Women's Literature in English and a study on women’s leadership in the Quit India Movement.

Her scholarly contributions span film studies, diaspora literature, and feminist critiques of postcolonial texts. She explores themes such as cultural memory, transnational identities, and the role of gender in decolonization processes.
