Hart Posen is a Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and serves as Faculty Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship. Previously, he held professorial roles at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Michigan. He earned a PhD in Management from the Wharton School (2005), an MBA from the Ivey School of Business (2000), and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba (1988). His research focuses on strategy, entrepreneurship, and innovation through a behavioral and computational lens, emphasizing collective intelligence and organizational learning processes. Posen has contributed to leading journals such as Strategic Management Journal and Management Science, and his work has been featured in major media outlets like the Wall Street Journal and BBC.

His work employs computational social science to model collective intelligence evolution and examines behavioral aspects of entrepreneurial decision-making, including overconfidence and learning mechanisms. Key themes include imitation strategies, dynamic capabilities, and the interplay between strategy and organizational learning.
Teaching & Leadership: Posen teaches courses such as Startup Strategizing and leads a PhD seminar on contributing to management literature. He has held editorial roles at top journals, including associate editorships at the Strategic Management Journal and Management Science. He also serves on editorial boards for Strategy Science, Administrative Science Quarterly, and others.
