Harry Weger is a Professor and Associate Director in the Communication Program at the University of Central Florida's Nicholson School of Communication and Media. He earned his Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Arizona and has authored over 40 publications spanning communication, social psychology, and hospitality. His research examines nonverbal communication in political debates, persuasion in service encounters, and relational communication.
His work focuses on practical applications in hospitality and political communication, analyzing how nonverbal cues influence persuasion and service outcomes. Recent publications explore tipping behavior, virtual simulations for engagement measurement, and debate strategies.
Weger serves as Assistant Director for the Human Communication program and has editorial roles for Argumentation and Advocacy. He co-authored Nonverbal Communication in Political Debates and contributes to several editorial boards.
