Harry Mitchell is a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London, affiliated with Hazelab. He holds a PhD and MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London.

- Masters in Mechanical Engineering (Imperial College London)
Research Interests: Harry focuses on fire hazards in sustainability contexts, including wildfires and lithium-ion batteries. His postdoctoral work examines how fire impacts sustainability across multiple applications. His PhD research pioneered experimental studies on fire behavior in large timber buildings, notably contributing to the CodeRed project series. His master's work developed the PERIL toolkit for wildfire evacuation planning in collaboration with NFPA, Lund University, and Movement Strategies.

Advising & Grants: Funded by Arup and EPSRC for his PhD research. Participated in 4 major CodeRed timber fire experiments.
