معرفی
Dr. Harriet Kluger is the Harvey and Kate Cushing Professor of Medicine (Oncology) and of Dermatology at Yale School of Medicine. She serves as Vice Chair for Collaborative Research in Internal Medicine, Director of the Yale SPORE in Skin Cancer at Yale Cancer Center, Chief of the Division of Skin and Kidney Cancer, and Associate Cancer Center Director for Education, Training and Faculty Development. Her clinical practice focuses on melanoma and renal cell carcinoma patients.
- Yale University School of Medicine (Fellow, 2002)
- University of New Mexico (Residency, 1995)
- Tel Aviv University (MD, 1993)
Dr. Kluger's research focuses on developing novel drug regimens and identifying predictive biomarkers for response to therapies in melanoma and renal cell carcinoma. Her laboratory investigates tumor and immune cells from patients treated with immunotherapies to determine mechanisms of resistance and mediators of toxicity from immune checkpoint inhibitors. She also conducts pre-clinical studies to improve treatment regimens for patients with melanoma, renal cell carcinoma, and brain metastasis. Her work spans immunotherapy, molecular targeted therapy, and cellular therapy approaches.
Analysis of Dr. Kluger's recent publications reveals a strong focus on immunotherapeutic approaches for melanoma and renal cell carcinoma, with particular emphasis on TIL therapy, combination immunotherapies, biomarker discovery, and mechanisms of treatment resistance. Her research bridges clinical trials and basic science, with numerous studies examining tumor microenvironment, immune cell interactions, and novel therapeutic combinations.
Dr. Kluger actively participates in numerous clinical trials, including the Melanoma Margins Trial-II, studies on the impact of cancer immunotherapy on kidneys, and trials investigating novel combinations for melanoma, kidney cancer, and other malignancies. She collaborates extensively with surgeons, medical oncologists, and researchers across multiple disciplines to develop tailored treatment plans for individual patients.
Dr. Kluger leads the H. Kluger Lab, which focuses on developing new drug regimens, identifying predictive biomarkers of response to therapy, and discovering mechanisms of immune-related adverse events. The lab maintains active collaborations with numerous Yale researchers and participates in multi-institutional studies advancing the field of cancer immunotherapy.
