Dr. Bennett's research centers on Hebrew Bible/Old Testament studies and ethics, with pioneering work in Africentric biblical hermeneutics and social justice applications of Deuteronomy. His scholarship critically examines how biblical texts address systemic oppression of vulnerable groups and informs contemporary Pentecostal moral frameworks within Black communities.
His publication trajectory demonstrates evolving focus from textual analysis of Deuteronomy to interdisciplinary integration of biblical scholarship with social ethics and Africentric Pentecostal theology. Recent work emphasizes community-centered ethical decision-making through Afrocentric lenses.
Dr. Bennett co-founded Pentecost for Life Ministries, producing the Pentecost for Life Broadcast (WAEC 860 AM) and 'The GIST of the Matter' radio talk show (WAOK 1380 AM). These platforms address spirituality, social justice, and community empowerment through Africentric Pentecostal perspectives while partnering with organizations on marriage, parenting, and socioeconomic equity initiatives.
