Harm Maarsingh

Harm Maarsingh is a Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy (Palm Beach Atlantic University). His teaching spans pharmacology, pathophysiology, and pharmacotherapy in the Pharm.D. program, driven by a philosophy of excellence, interaction, and enthusiasm. He integrates experimental findings into his courses and mentors students in research focused on respiratory diseases.

• Research Focus: Targeting L-arginine metabolome and cAMP pathway to treat asthma/COPD.
• Methods: In vivo animal models, ex vivo organ/tissue studies, and in vitro cell experiments.

Education: PhD in Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and MS/BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Groningen (The Netherlands).

Personal: Married to Marianne, father to four daughters (Kirsten, Else, Rhodé, Amy), and active in church worship and Bible studies. Joined PBA in 2013 after postdoctoral and lecturing roles at the University of Groningen.
