Adwoa Nornoo

Adwoa Nornoo serves as Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy, Palm Beach Atlantic University. She joined PBA in 2008 after several years as an assistant professor at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Albany, NY.

Dr. Nornoo's educational background includes:

• PhD in Pharmaceutics from the University of Houston
• MSPharm in Pharmaceutics from the University of Houston
• BS in Pharmacy from Ahmadu Bello University

Her research focuses on novel drug formulation design and evaluation for poorly absorbed anticancer agents, with particular emphasis on the assessment and optimization of drug and drug formulation performance both in vitro and in vivo. This work addresses critical challenges in cancer treatment through advanced drug delivery systems.

As an educator, Dr. Nornoo teaches core courses in pharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, and pharmaceutical compounding. She previously taught biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutics, and pharmaceutical analytical techniques at Albany College of Pharmacy, demonstrating comprehensive expertise across pharmaceutical sciences.

Dr. Nornoo integrates her professional work with her faith, being active at Generation Church in Jupiter, FL, and approaching her teaching from a Christian worldview.
