Hao Yuan is a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath, affiliated with the Institute for Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems (IAAPS). His research focuses on Chemical Kinetics, Lithium-ion Batteries, Combustion, and Numerical Modelling, with a particular emphasis on improving engine efficiency and low-carbon technologies. He leads the JLR Prosperity Partnership project, a £5M EPSRC-funded initiative exploring electrified propulsion systems.
