Hantzaroula Pothiti

Hantzaroula Pothiti is Associate Professor in Historical Anthropology at the University of the Aegean. Her research integrates oral history with gender/sexuality studies and memory of World War II. She co-founded the Greek Oral History Association and edits Historein journal.

Notable work examines domestic labor relations in modern Greece, analyzing power dynamics through employer-servant narratives and migration patterns. Current projects document Jewish wartime experiences and reconstruct public sociability in 20th-century urban Greece.
