Research Interests
Rosengaard investigates the paradox of demonstrating individual autonomy within shared cultural norms and language systems, exploring how moral imagination expands through cultural production. His interdisciplinary work bridges literary studies, media theory, and aesthetics, with recent focus on generative AI's societal impact, climate narratives, and contemporary Danish autofiction. He emphasizes reading across humanities fields to understand evolving frameworks of self-expression and cultural critique.
Publication Trends
His 2022-2025 publications reveal a concentrated exploration of generative AI's philosophical and pedagogical implications, examining tensions between technological 'taming' and creative 'wildness.' Concurrently, he analyzes climate discourse in literature and media, alongside studies of Danish autofiction and apocalyptic narratives. These works collectively interrogate how humanities frameworks adapt to technological and ecological transformations while maintaining critical engagement with cultural production.
Advising and Grants
Rosengaard has supervised student research on varied topics including children's literature, migration narratives, urbanity, masochism, and democratic conceptions. He secured Velux Foundation funding (2025-2027) as co-applicant for Gry Stokkendahl Dalgas' Writers-in-Residence program, building on prior collaborations with Mikas Lang and Siri Ranva Hjelm Jakobsen. These initiatives foster cross-pollination between academic research and creative writing practices.
Research Groups
He actively contributes to Roskilde University's Centre for Research on Problem-oriented Project Learning and Aesthetic Culture group, organizing events like the 2025 Kultur og Mediers Vinterseminar and DiP Webinar on AI pedagogy. His collaborative projects emphasize problem-oriented learning and interdisciplinary dialogue between humanities scholars and creative practitioners.
