Hans Reihling

Hans Reihling, Ph.D., LMFT, is a faculty member in the Department of Marriage & Family Therapy at The Chicago School's College of Professional Psychology, San Diego campus. He is a licensed therapist, AAMFT-approved clinical supervisor, and certified in Internal Family Systems Therapy.

Dr. Reihling specializes in trauma and relationship challenges, including infidelity and out-of-control sexual behavior. His research explores intersections of social inequality, masculinities, and psychosocial health, culminating in his book Affective Health and Masculinities in South Africa. He has also investigated rehabilitation of gang members through religious communities, emphasizing gender and religion's role in resilience.

His published work focuses on masculinities, social inequality, and trauma recovery, reflecting broader interests in health psychology and community-based interventions.

Dr. Reihling is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the American Psychological Association, with community involvement as a contractor for Survivors of Torture International. His professional skills include couples therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and internal family systems.
