Hans Hansen is an Associate Professor of Management at the Rawls College of Business, Texas Tech University. He specializes in qualitative research methods and narrative theory, with a focus on organizational studies. Hansen holds a PhD in Management from the University of Kansas, an MBA from Baylor University, and a BBA from Texas A&M University.
His research explores qualitative methodologies, narrative theory applications, and organizational dynamics. Notable works include the book *Narrating Change* (Columbia Business School Press) and co-editing the *Sage Handbook of New and Emerging Approaches to Management and Organizations*. His articles appear in top journals like *Journal of Management Studies* and *Organizational Research Methods*.
Prior to Texas Tech, Hansen held positions at the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University), Stanford University, Copenhagen Business School, and Victoria University (New Zealand). He teaches courses in Organizational Theory, Qualitative Research Methods, and Innovation across undergraduate, MBA, and PhD programs.
His work emphasizes ethical research practices, the role of storytelling in organizational change, and the intersection of aesthetics with leadership. Hansen’s research spans institutional entrepreneurship, compassionate methodologies, and systemic organizational vulnerabilities.
