معرفی
Hans Georg Schaathun is a Professor of Computer Science at the Department of ICT and Science, NTNU. He holds a Dr.scient. in coding theory (University of Bergen, 2002) and a PGCAP in academic practice (University of Surrey, 2008). His research spans machine learning applications in cosmology (gravitational lensing simulation for dark matter mapping), biomedical engineering (meniscal mechanics modeling), and pedagogy-focused AI studies. He is a Merited Teacher (2017) and has authored over 100 publications across journals like Design Studies, Journal of Biomechanics, and conferences such as ECMS and NIKT.
Research interests include interdisciplinary design methodology, mathematics didactics, and the philosophical intersections of AI with human cognition. Recent work focuses on blood glucose prediction algorithms, knee surgery simulations, and computational modeling of cosmic phenomena. He collaborates with institutions like the University of Bergen and international teams on medical and aerospace projects.
Key contributions include publications on steganalysis, cryptographic fingerprinting, and model-driven software engineering. His teaching innovations include flipped classrooms and active learning strategies, documented in works like Maskinlæring og studentlæring (2022).
