Hans-Georg Kotthoff

Prof. Dr. Hans-Georg Kotthoff is a full professor at the University of Education Freiburg, holding the Professorship for School Pedagogy with a focus on International Comparative Educational Research. Since April 2022, he serves as the Rector of the University of Education Freiburg, following leadership roles in the Faculty of Educational Sciences and the Freiburg Advanced Center of Education (FACE) (2018-2021). As former President of the Comparative Education Society in Europe (2012-2016) and 2017 Honorary Fellow at the University of Wisconsin, he bridges global and local educational research.
