Hans-Christian Reuss is a Professor at the University of Stuttgart, where he holds the Chair of Automotive Mechatronics and serves as Managing Director of the Institute of Automotive Engineering (IFS). His research focuses on advancing sustainable vehicle and mobility concepts, with emphasis on electromobility, automated driving, and intelligent charging infrastructure.

Research Interests encompass vehicle electrical systems, energy management, networking of electronic systems, software and diagnostic tools, and safety mitigation strategies for low-noise electric vehicles. Affiliations and Leadership: Since 2004, he has led the Chair of Automotive Mechatronics at the University of Stuttgart and serves on the Executive Board of the Research Institute for Automotive Engineering and Vehicle Engines Stuttgart (FKFS). His career includes roles at Philips Semiconductors (1989–1992) and as Professor of Automotive Electronics at the Technical University of Dresden (1993).
