Hans Blom

Hans Blom is an Associate Professor of Biological Physics at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). He is affiliated with the Advanced Light Microscopy Facility at the Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab) in Stockholm. His research focuses on advancing super-resolution microscopy techniques such as STED, STORM, and nanoSIMS, with applications in life sciences and biomedical research at molecular levels.

Blom earned his PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen, Germany, where he pioneered the use of correlation spectroscopy in life sciences. His work continues to drive innovations in microscopy, addressing critical needs in cellular and molecular biomedical studies.
