معرفی
Hannes Ruge is a Professor and Principal Investigator of the Research Group Neuroimaging of Higher Cognitive Brain Functions at the Technical University of Dresden. He holds a Dr. rer. nat from the University of Leipzig (2004) and a Dipl. Psych. from the University of Trier (2001). His research focuses on cognitive neuroscience, neuroimaging, and the neural mechanisms underlying instructed learning, decision-making, and cognitive control.
His professional experience includes postdoctoral research at Washington University in St. Louis (2003–2007) and a PhD under the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences. His work integrates fMRI and behavioral studies to explore how the brain encodes rules, adapts to new tasks, and forms habits.
Key research interests include functional brain network dynamics during learning, neural correlates of goal-directed behavior, and the role of prefrontal and parietal regions in cognitive control. His recent studies highlight advances in deep learning models predicting human behavior and disruptions in neural connectivity in schizophrenia.
Ruge serves as an ad hoc reviewer for prominent journals like Psychophysiology, Neuropsychology, and NeuroImage. His lab emphasizes translational research, linking neuroimaging findings to clinical applications such as anorexia nervosa treatment monitoring.
