Hannes Bohne is an Associated Researcher at the DFG-Graduiertenkolleg 2477 “Aesthetic Practice” at the University of Hildesheim, where his doctoral project investigates intercorporality in Hannah Arendt’s political theory through interdisciplinary lenses of philosophy and dance studies. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences and an M.A. in Economics from Hochschule für Gesellschaftsgestaltung. His work bridges academic and artistic realms: he teaches as a lecturer in modules like 'Wirtschaftsanthropologie' and 'Studia humanitatis,' while also engaging in performance art as a dancer, dramaturge, and performer in projects such as 'INKED' and 'Ocean Sea Cycle.'
Bohne’s research employs ethnographic methods to explore human action through contemporary dance improvisations, aiming to refine philosophical theory formation. Professionally, he has served as Assistant to the President (2018–2019) and Coordinator for University Funding and Partnerships (2019–2020) at Hochschule für Gesellschaftsgestaltung. His academic engagements include moderating conferences, presenting at international workshops (e.g., Oxford Ethnography and Education Conference 2024), and conducting qualitative research on economic education paradigms. His artistic practice and scholarly work converge in exploring intercorporeal dynamics, critical theory, and interdisciplinary methodologies.
Bohne’s artistic projects include lecture-performances like 'Nur weil manchmal nichts ist, kommt uns die Welt neu vor' at the Tanzmuseum Köln and collaborations with choreographers such as Jan Burkhardt and Doris Uhlich. His scholarly outputs include articles in Tanzkritik and contributions to debates on pluralistic economics in Frankfurter Rundschau. He actively participates in research networks addressing social philosophy, qualitative research methods, and theater/dance studies.
