Dr. Hannan Mahdiraji is an Associate Professor in Business Analytics at the Department of Management, Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham. He also serves as the Programme Director for the Undergraduate Business and Management programme. Previously, he held academic positions at the University of Leicester, De Montfort University, Coventry University, and the University of Tehran.

His work bridges theoretical modeling with practical applications in sustainability, digital transformation, and resilience.
His recent publications reveal a strong trend toward integrating computational intelligence (e.g., fuzzy systems, Bayesian methods) with strategic business modeling, particularly in sustainability, digital transformation, and risk management. He frequently collaborates with researchers across Europe and applies mixed-method approaches combining literature reviews, simulations, and empirical analysis.

Dr. Mahdiraji has supervised over 100 postgraduate dissertations and more than 15 PhD completions.
