Hannah’s research focuses on Queer Psychology and LGBTQ+ Studies, particularly the intersection of queer identity with higher education, literature, and organizational leadership. Her work explores how narratives (e.g., Harry Potter) can be leveraged to foster inclusion, with a strong emphasis on diversity, equity, and belonging in academic and corporate settings.
Her publications highlight collaborative efforts to advance allyship and AAPI representation, alongside queer interpretations of cultural texts. She has presented extensively on topics such as LGBTQ+ equality and queering workspaces, and her doctoral dissertation Harry Potter and the Queering of the College Classroom (2019) bridges these themes.

- Dorothy Stang Scholar, 2018
Hannah advises on inclusion initiatives, including The Board Culture Playbook (2024) and The Board Diversity Playbook (2023), and has developed curricula like the Queer Identities course. She works closely with teams at the Stanford VMware Women’s Leadership Innovation Lab to advance LGBTQ+ equity in corporate and academic environments.
