Hannah Wilkinson is a Lecturer in Educational Psychology at the University of Manchester’s Manchester Institute of Education. She serves as Programme Director for the BSc Educational Psychology Programme and Unit Lead for the Development and Childhood and Research Issues in Psychology and Education modules. Her research focuses on psychological predictors of student achievement, teacher communication strategies, and classroom social dynamics.

Research interests include intrapersonal and interpersonal factors affecting student motivation, high-stakes exam impacts, and psychometrics. She is a chartered member of the British Psychological Society and a committee member of the BPS Psychology of Education Section since 2019. Her work has explored teachers’ use of efficacy appeals in test preparation and the impact of qualitative methodologies in educational research.
Recent publications include studies on digital tools for assessments and reimagining test-preparation strategies. She contributes to the British Journal of Educational Psychology as an advisory editor and has authored commissioned reports on qualitative methods.
