Dr. Hannah Spruce is a Research Fellow and Part-time Lecturer in English Literature and Creative Writing at Leeds Beckett University’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences. She joined the English and Creative Writing team in 2021 and is affiliated with the Centre for Culture and Humanities. Her work bridges literary studies, feminist theory, and social science methodologies.

- Feminist adaptations of literary genres
- Indigenous and settler colonial literature
- Science discourse in literary texts
- Critical race theory and violence in literature

Her recent publications explore psychopathy narratives, representations of violence in Indigenous literatures, and cultural responses to social justice movements in television. Her forthcoming work continues to interrogate the intersections of disability, gender, and cultural mythmaking.
