Hannah Sigriddatter Ander is a Doctoral Research Fellow and PhD candidate at the Department of Sociology and Human Geography, University of Oslo. She holds affiliations with the Faculty of Social Sciences and research centers under the University Board. Her work focuses on socio-ecological justice in urban sustainability transitions, particularly in Oslo.
Education includes a Master's in Human Geography (2017, UiO) with a thesis on diversity in Greenlandic public spaces, and a Bachelor's in Area Studies (2011, UiO) focusing on India's employment and water policies. Prior roles include Senior Advisor at Forum for Environment and Development (2017–2024), Political Advisor at Church City Mission (2020), and research roles at OsloMet, PRIO, and the University of Copenhagen.
Research explores just urban transformations, critical urban studies, and Marxist frameworks. Awards include 2017 Oslo Municipality Award and 2016 Osloforskning Grant for Oslo-focused research.
