Hannah Schacter is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Wayne State University and Director of the Adolescent Relationships in Context (ARC) Lab. Her NIH and NSF-funded research examines how peer victimization and friendships impact adolescent mental health, academic outcomes, and physical well-being. She develops interventions to improve teen relationships, including digital tools for friendship enhancement.
Her research spans bullying prevention, LGBTQ+ mental health, sleep-academic performance linkages, and biobehavioral responses to social stress. Recent publications demonstrate strong focus on longitudinal mechanisms linking peer experiences to health outcomes through anxiety, depression, and physiological pathways.
