Hannah Nguyen

Hannah Nguyen is a Lecturer in the Department of Financial and Business Systems at Lincoln University's College of Business. She holds a PhD in Finance from Massey University where she received the Dean's List of Exceptional Theses Award, along with an MBS in Economics from the same institution and a BA in Banking and Finance from National Economics University in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Her research focuses on Financial Economics, Property Finance, Energy Economics, and Sustainable Investment, with particular expertise in housing markets, urban economics, and sustainable asset management. She has published extensively in high-impact journals including Energy Economics, Regional Studies, and Financial Research Letters, examining topics ranging from green cryptocurrency risk to immigration's impact on housing markets.

Her publication record shows strong emphasis on energy-finance linkages, sustainable investment interdependencies, and housing market dynamics across multiple countries. Recent work explores quantile-based market connectedness, extreme risk transmission, and the role of firm characteristics in market interactions.

Honors include the Massey University Dean's List of Exceptional Theses Award, Massey Research Grant, and Massey University Doctoral Scholarship. She serves as an ad hoc reviewer for prestigious journals including Energy Economics and International Journal of Finance and Economics.

In teaching, she serves as examiner for Financial Information for Business (COMM 112), Investments (FINC 211), and Principles of Accounting and Finance (COMM 602).
