Hannah L. Miller, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine (Digestive Diseases) at Yale School of Medicine. She specializes in gastroenterology with a focus on inflammatory bowel disease, obesity medicine, and pelvic floor disorders.
Dr. Miller received her undergraduate education at Dartmouth College (1995), earned her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College (2000), and completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Dr. Miller's clinical expertise centers on the management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. She has advanced training in obesity medicine and pelvic floor disorders, with particular expertise in fecal incontinence and refractory constipation. Additionally, she treats patients for esophageal reflux, dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), and colon cancer. 'I enjoy my IBD patients the most, because it is a chronic disease and thus requires a long-term close relationship with the patient,' says Dr. Miller. Her approach combines medical management with lifestyle interventions, particularly in the area of obesity medicine where she is board certified.
