Hannah King

Dr. Hannah King serves as Associate Professor of Biochemistry at Oral Roberts University (ORU), joining the faculty in 2024. She teaches Molecular Cell Biology and diverse courses within ORU's Biology and Chemistry department while mentoring undergraduate researchers.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Cancer Research, University of Nebraska Medical Center
• B.S. in Biomedical Chemistry, Oral Roberts University

Her research pioneers innovative cancer therapeutics through proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs), selectively degrading key proteins to enhance treatment efficacy. This work integrates medicinal chemistry and molecular biology to advance translational cancer research and drug development. Current projects focus on protein inhibition, small-molecule drug design, and regulation of cancer-related pathways.

Dr. King champions the integration of faith and scientific inquiry, guiding students to connect biological complexities with a Christian worldview. She cultivates critical thinking and real-world application of scientific principles, equipping future scientists and medical professionals through mentorship rooted in spiritual leadership and academic excellence.
